How to Make a Moss Ball Planter or Kokedama

Hello friends. Happy Thursday. Spring is in two weeks and today my friends and I are sharing some beautiful Spring decor ideas.
This How to Make a Moss Ball Planter or Kokedama. These are so fun to make and the perfect little touch of Spring.

I made these a few years ago using spring flowers but you can any plant you like.

Start by putting some soil in a bowl.

Slowly add some water and mix to make a doughy like clay.

In the meantime, place some moss in water. This is optional but I find that soaking the moss helps it adhere to the soil a little easier.

Remove plant from pot and add soil all around roots to form a ball.

Add moss to ball…

You can use an old avocado mesh to secure the moss or you can use thread and tie it all around the moss ball.

Use string to tie the top and trim the excess mesh.

Place on top of a planter dish.

To water them, you simply place them inside a bowl full of water and let it absorb. Drain and place back on dish.
